Missions Journey: Students – Paris, France

Jason and Cassie Harris were settled in Asia with their kids when the pandemic forced them to return to the United States for an early stateside assignment. Prevented from returning to Asia, the Harris family looked to God for guidance. Second Corinthians 2:14 was a pivotal verse for them during this time. It reminded them that the Lord leads His people to spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him wherever they go. They felt the Lord telling them to “go to the nations.” They opened a door of ministry in Paris, France. While Paris is well-known for art, culture, and monuments, it may be less well-known as a place where 40 percent of residents are first- and second-generation immigrants from around the world. The 2024 Paris Olympics brought even more nations to the city. Jason Harris leads a team of fellow missionaries to reach the world at their doorstep. Long before God led the Harris family from Asia to Paris, He led them as children, youth, and young adults. Jason was challenged in his faith by experiences on short-term missions trips. He was shaped by regular reading of God’s Word and by reading the powerful testimonies of God’s work found in missionary biographies. Your students will be challenged by the example of the Harris family.
